Privacy Policy

This policy explains what New World Map collects, why it is used and the choices available to visitors.

01

Information you provide

You can use the map without an account. If you email us, we receive your address and anything you include in the message. We use it to respond, investigate a correction or handle a request. Please do not send sensitive personal information.

02

Technical information

Our hosting provider may process ordinary server logs such as IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page, date and time. We use this information for security, reliability and aggregate traffic measurement. The map can also place comparison settings in the page address so a view can be shared; those settings describe the map, not your identity.

03

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits and how people use the map, including country selection, projection mode, zoom and sharing actions. Google Analytics may process device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, referring pages and interaction data, and may use cookies or similar identifiers. We have disabled Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals in the site configuration. Learn more in Google’s Privacy Policy.

04

Google AdSense and cookies

We use Google AdSense to serve, limit and measure advertising. Google and its advertising partners may place or read cookies, use web beacons, process IP addresses and use other identifiers as a result of ad serving on this site. Depending on your location, consent and Google settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

05

Consent and advertising choices

Where consent is legally required, advertising and related storage are subject to the consent choices presented to the visitor. Google may limit personalization or ad serving when valid consent is unavailable. You can control personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center, and you can block or delete cookies using your browser.

06

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Information may be processed by providers that host, secure, measure or monetize the site, including Google. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the site and its users. Email correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed; analytics and advertising data retention is governed by the applicable service settings and policies.

07

Your choices

You may block cookies, use browser privacy controls, change Google advertising preferences or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. You may also use the site without emailing us or ask us to delete correspondence that can reasonably be identified. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply.
